Adriano Sobretodo Jr.

Adriano is a theatre producer, stage & screen actor, and acting instructor.

He has produced stage productions spanning the US, Australia, and Canada.  As Co-Artistic Director, he helps shape and manage all productions to date by Litmus Theatre, a company he co-founded in 2009.  Since 2015, Adriano has also lead the venerable Theatre Smith-Gilmour as General Manager. In addition, he was the Head Grant Writer for STAF, an organization providing administrative support to Toronto’s independent theatre community. Adriano has  served as both an Advisory Board Member and Strategic Planning Consultant for the Ontario Arts Council.

After completing a Life Sciences degree at Queen’s University, Adriano studied at Australia’s National Theatre Drama School and York University’s MFA Acting Conservatory.  Based in Toronto, his acting roles transition between theatre, film, and television.

As a teacher,  Adriano has worked for Canadian Stage Company, Classical Theatre Project, and York University’s Theatre Department as a First Year Acting Instructor for Theatre Majors.  Currently, he teaches with Shakespeare in Action and freelances as an Acting Coach for theatre and film.
